DCS Operator (Process Units)

Job Purpose:
Support for performing all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the established operating procedures and written and oral instructions from the Shift Lead.
Supporting operation of DCS control console to coordinate and regulate process variables as required for the purpose of maintaining safe and stable operation and keeping required quality of products.
In addition, Panel Operators will conduct on-job-training for Employer’s operators during the shift.

Your main duties will be to:
1. Support for control and operation of DCS console. Communicate very closely with Shift Lead and field operators by Radio communication. Advise field operators to carry-out field operation and to monitor the field instrument, according to operation manuals.
2. Make the DCS trend data or historical data from DCS Panel. Perform basic calculations for determining process parameters and material balances.
3. Maintain good working spirit and coordinate with Shift Lead and other operators in shift.
4. Follow, implement and maintain HSE requirements, rules and regulations; maintain HSE performance.
5. Support to ensure that all environmental parameters i.e., Emission, and Effluent are within the limitation defined in the PJ Environmental procedure.
6. Understand deeply operation manual and Plant Control System Narrative (DCS Control, Emergency shut down system, Fire &amp; Gas system, Cause and Effect Chart, etc.).
7. Assist the Maintenance Disciplines (Rotating, Electrical, Mechanical Instrument and Control etc.) and/or Vendor Specialists regarding Panel operation to complete all required works including trouble shooting and achieve the stable operation of facilities within the shortest time, under the direction by Shift Lead.
8. Support for recording, compiling, reporting and documenting operating data, and monitoring process indicators.
9. Coordinate with other shift panel operators to hand-over the status of plant start-up and operation clearly by shift change-over meeting and obtain hand-over from other shift panel operators correctly, before starting shift work.
10. Assist on -job training of Employer’s panel operators under the direction by Shift Lead.
11. In case emergency event, the focal point to communicate field operators from Control room.

Rotation: 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Ideally, you will have a Degree in engineering discipline from a recognized university with 10 experience in Oil &amp; Gas (incl. but not limited to Refinery)/ Petrochemical fields or Equivalent” or “5 years in a relevant position title”.
You will have proven experience in Safety precautions and occupational hazards in the use of equipment; safe work methods and practices.

You will have a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in industry commissioning software and systems and advance skills in Microsoft Office. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.&lt;br /&gt;

3. Support for Loading / Unloading chemicals and other fluid in the field as necessary for plant operation.
4. Observe local instruments, gauges, and meters to verify conformance to standard operating practice.
5. Support for collecting and analyzing samples of gas, oil, water as necessary for plant performance check.
6. Maintain good working spirit and coordinate with Shift Lead and other Operators in shift.
7. Follow, implement and maintain HSSE requirements, rules and regulations; maintain HSSE performance.
8. Understand deeply Plant operation manual, Plant Start-up Manual, and Pre-commissioning and Commissioning procedures.
9. Assist the Maintenance Disciplines (Rotating, Electrical, Mechanical Instrument and Control etc.) and/or Vendor Specialists in the field to complete all required works including trouble shooting and achieve the stable operation of facilities within the shortest time.

Job Purpose:

Lab Technician

Job Purpose:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely execution of routine and non-routine analytical tests on refinery process streams, finished products, and raw materials. Operating under direct supervision, the technician follows standardized procedures to generate high-quality data that is critical for process control, product quality certification, and environmental compliance.
Your main duties will be to:
• Pick samples from designated plant sample points as assigned, following all safe work practices and permit procedures.
• Receive, log, and properly label samples in the laboratory logbook upon receipt.
• Prepare samples for analysis, which may include filtration, dilution, homogenization, or derivatization.
• Prepare standard solutions, reagents, and mobile phases as directed by SOPs.
• Label all solutions with contents, concentration, preparation date, expiration date, and preparer's initials
• Adhere to all quality control procedures outlined in the laboratory's QMS.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and HSE policies without exception.
• Operate a wide range of authorized laboratory instruments.
• Perform routine and non-routine analytical tests on a variety of samples including crude oil, intermediate process streams, fuels (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel), gases, amine solutions, water, wastewater etc.
• Execute tests strictly in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and international standard methods (e.g., ASTM, UOP, ISO, Shell SMS).
• Accurately and legibly record all raw data, observations, and calculations in laboratory notebooks and worksheets.
• Perform basic calculations and data transformations as required by the test method.
• Report any instrument malfunction or performance drift immediately to the Lab Engineer.
• Report all unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents immediately to the Lab Engineer / Lead Lab Engineer.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
• Handle all chemicals and hazardous waste according to established safety procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lab Engineer or Lead Lab Engineer.

10 years of  Experience of Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities such as Water Flushing, Steam blowing (Target blowing), N2 purging, Air drying/blowing, card-board blasting, leak-test, Line Tracing , Pressure Test, Heater dry-out, Amine system degreasing, Chemical Cleaning of pipe lines, Alkali boil out of steam drum, Pre-sulphidisation of reactor, Flushing plan preparation, N2 preservation.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Lieu de travail : &lt;/b&gt;Khobar , Saudi Arabia&lt;br /&gt;
