Operation: Working closely with COMPANY’s Head Of Maintenance, he : Advises COMPANY’s Head Of Maintenance on monthly and annual planning, Distributes the daily activity to the CONTRACTORS’s sub teams on site as prepared by the planning team, Co ordinates the Routine Maintenance operations, Manages the implementation of works on site Launches when required all QA/QC operations/inspection Checks and validates technical and QA/QC reports Prepares FM reports, Informs the persons concerned, by appropriate reporting, on the progress of maintenance operations and, if necessary, of difficulties encountered. Position description :
SPIE Global Services Energy is currently looking for a Turbine Supervisor to join its work force in Angola Main activities: Ensures full compliance with QHSSE rules, Permit to Work (PTW), and site operating procedures during all maintenance activities. Organizes, plans, and supervises maintenance and troubleshooting activities on turbine-driven equipment (turbo-generators and turbo-compressors) and associated auxiliary systems. Provides technical support to the preparation and planning team for maintenance activities, including scope definition, resource requirements, and intervention strategies. Leads field teams during interventions, ensuring adherence to procedures, quality standards, and operational priorities. Takes full ownership of turbine systems under his responsibility in case of breakdown, ensuring rapid fault diagnosis, resolution, and restoration to normal operating conditions with minimal production impact. Manages and ensures availability, control, and proper use of specialized tools and equipment required for turbine maintenance. Prepares and validates detailed technical reports, including intervention feedback, failure analysis, and recommendations. Identifies recurrent failures, performs root cause analysis (RCA), and proposes corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability and availability. Interfaces with Operations, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams to ensure integrated system performance and safe restart of equipment. Contributes to achieving technical and maintenance KPIs, including equipment availability, reliability, and reduction of unplanned shutdowns. Specific activities Ensure that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within his teams, and actively participates in the OJT / assessment program. Mechanical Specific: Responsible for maintenance and performance of:3 × Turbo-generators (Nuovo Pignone MS5001 gas turbines coupled with GEC Alsthom T500 generators) 3 × Turbo-compressors (Thermodyn RC/RB)

Qualification: Minimum qualification level required is Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Theoretical Knowledge Strong understanding of oil & gas processes and production systems, including hydrocarbon risks. Good foundation in rotating equipment principles, including gas turbines, compressors, and generators. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and vendor documentation. Understanding of control and protection systems (ESD, alarms, trips, interlocks). Equipment Knowledge In-depth knowledge of turbine-driven equipment: turbo-generators and turbo-compressors, including auxiliaries (lube oil, fuel gas, seal gas, cooling systems). Familiar with vibration monitoring and condition monitoring systems. Understanding of mechanical and control interfaces with electrical and instrumentation systems. Maintenance & Systems Strong experience in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of rotating equipment. Working knowledge of CMMS (e.g., SAP PM): planning inputs, execution follow-up, and reporting. Ability to support job preparation, including scope definition, tools, spares, and procedures. Practical & Supervisory Skills Proven ability to organise, supervise, and coordinate field teams during maintenance and troubleshooting activities. Strong fault diagnosis capability and ownership of breakdown situations until full restoration. Effective use of specialised tools and alignment, inspection, and testing equipment. Maintenance Know-How Ability to troubleshoot and maintain turbine systems and driven equipment (generators and compressors). Capable of analysing failures, identifying recurring issues, and proposing corrective actions (RCA mindset). Ensures safe restart and operational readiness of equipment after intervention. HSE & Compliance Ensures strict adherence to PTW, LOTO, and site QHSSE procedures. Promotes safe working practices and compliance with industry standards.

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a : Senior Category Specialist Reporting & Context Based within the Commercial Division, Strategic Sourcing department, reporting to the Head of Category. Established March 2025, approved by the Chief Commercial Officer. Job Purpose Support the Head of Category in executing category strategies, lead complex sourcing projects, and manage supplier relationships across assigned categories. Key Accountabilities Strategy & Sourcing: Contribute to category strategy development and execution; lead complex tenders, sourcing events, and negotiations. Supplier & Contract Management: Manage supplier relationships, contract renewals, performance reviews, and resolution of non-conformances. Compliance & Reporting: Enforce QAFCO procurement policies; track and report category KPIs, savings, and supplier performance. Team Development: Mentor Category Specialists and national fresh graduates as part of local talent development initiatives. Innovation & Technology: Drive adoption of AI, automation, and digital tools to optimize category management and decision-making. Education & Experience Diploma in Engineering or BSc/BCom from an accredited university. Minimum 5 years' procurement/supply management experience in Oil & Gas or petrochemicals. Professional certification in Supply Chain or Business Administration (CIPS, CPSM or equivalent) is an advantage. Technical Competencies Full command of the procurement cycle (RFQ, bid evaluation, negotiation, PO expediting, closeout). Solid knowledge of Incoterms, commercial/legal contractual terms, logistics, and international trade insurance. Proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA and/or SAP Ariba; comfortable with MS 365 and standard Office tools. In-depth understanding of MRO product specifications with ability to identify alternatives. Awareness of current purchasing policies, market conditions, and best-practice procurement standards. 1. Experience in Capital Projects, Engineering, or Technical Services (including Industrial Gases and Chemicals, Catalysts, and Civil Works) 2. Experience of Qafco or Qatar Energy sister companies 3.
