Job description

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Tax & Legal NYSC Intern to join its workforce in Nigeria.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

Tax Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all local tax obligations (CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, social contributions, etc.)

  • Prepare, review, and submit tax filings and statutory declarations.

  • Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.

  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.

  • Support tax audits, reviews, and inspections.

  • Assist in transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.

  • Support tax optimization initiatives in line with group policies.

Legal Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts (client contracts, supplier agreements, service agreements, NDAs, etc.).

  • Ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Support corporate governance matters (board resolutions, statutory filings, company secretarial duties).

  • Liaise with external legal counsels when required.

  • Monitor legal risks and propose mitigation measures.

  • Support dispute management and litigation follow-up when applicable.

Finance & Internal Control Support

  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure alignment between legal, tax, and financial reporting.

  • Support internal control frameworks related to legal and tax processes.

  • Participate in internal and external audits by providing legal and tax documentation.

  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation of policies and procedures.

 

Profile

The Legal & Tax Intern will support the Finance team by managing all legal and tax-related matters of the company. The role ensures compliance with local regulations, group policies, and best practices, while proactively identifying legal and tax risks and supporting business operations.
