Job description

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Onshore Mechanical Methods Engineer to join its workforce in Nigeria.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • He/She supports the Onshore Team Leader for Methods and preparation of medium and long-term activities.

  • He/She processes all outstanding notifications which have been approved and scoped.

  • He/She assists COMPANY Technical Support Engineers in the assurance of quality and proper execution of modification works.

  • He/She actions and expedites ERHA maintenance Equipment repairs with work packs and testing requirements validated by COMPANY Technical Support Engineers.

  • He/She assists the COMPANY in the preparation and execution of detailed maintenance work packs and its associated planning.

  • He/She reviews Preventive Maintenance Program validity by checking available means to complete it as and when required.

  • He/She prepares Work Packs for Complex Maintenance Job when requested.

  • He/She checks and ensures that vital equipment on production sites is available as and when required.

  • He/She ensures all required materials for Preventive Maintenance.

  • He/She challenges and reviews the existing maintenance plans in terms of operations, periodicity, estimated hours (workload balancing), procedures and spare parts requirement and makes recommendations for optimization and improvement of the SAP as necessary.

  • He/She provides Onshore support and focal point for the Offshore Maintenance teams.

Operations
       

  • To prepare scopes of work and ensure that all materials and equipment are available as and when required for modifications, repairs or maintenance activities.
  • To prepare scopes of work for approved work programmes ensuring that all relevant operating procedures and safety regulations are written in and that all necessary materials and equipment are available as and when required.
  • To build the Work Order (WO) associated to a Notification with below information (at a minimum):
  • All resources required to complete the work pack (including any common user services e.g., Scaffolding, rigging abseiling, etc.).
    o   Manhours/trade.
    o   Materials.
    o   Tools & Equipment.
    o   Special PPEs or Procedures if required.
    o   External Services or Specialist Vendor Support (OEM).
    o   Any special skills required to complete the work scope.
    o   Any specific consideration for job execution (Confined Space, Hot Work, etc.).
  • To assist with the preparation of the preventive maintenance schedule for plant (PM01 & PM02) and equipment and ensure that planned work takes place.
  • To review all Work Orders due within the next 90 days, ensuring they are released and ready to schedule, setting “RTE” – Ready to Execute status in SAP.
    o   VENDOR Rev status – Held for Vendor (ensure that selected Vendor is available and has all documentation/logistics in place).
  • To review/revalidate Work Orders bi-weekly through SAP variant, that are held out of the planning process by one of

Profile

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of SAP, HSE standards, and Maintenance methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and interface with engineering, HSE, and QA/QC.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Valid offshore certifications: BOSIET / HUET / H2S / OGUK Medical
