Job description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC in Qatar for:

Construction Supervisor - E& I

This position is a unique opportunity to Supervise the EPIC Contractors during the execution of construction activities at construction site.

Main Responsibilities :

Participate in reviewing detailed design drawings, method statements, material
requisitions, and etc.

Co-ordinate mobilization of contractors on site.

Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordlnate various aspects of project
construction including inspections, materiat submissions and working drawings from
contractors, and processing documentation as required.

Carryout daily checks on contractor's staff and work carried out during the previous day
in order to ensure compliance with prescribed contractual specifications.

o Handle all aspects of Electrical/Instrument Construction activities including site
investigations, site surveys and etc.

Supervise and manage installation Earthing and Lightning Protection works.

0 Supervise installation of Lighting and Small Power works. Manage and supervise cable
tray installation and Fire Alarm System cable laying and termination works.

Co-ordination of finalizing Cable entries, cable routes, cable diversions etc.

Manage and supervise cable tray installation and Instrument Control & Power Cable
laying and termination works.

Supervise Fiber Optic cable installation and splicing works.

0 Supervise installation of Fire Alarm Control Panels, Repeater Panels and Mimic Panels.

o Supervise installation of Control junction boxes and Paneis.

Good knowledge in reading and understanding Equipment Layout drawings.

Overall coordination with Mechanical works, HVAC works, Fire alarm & Loss prevention
system works, Building Services works and etc.

Cable termination and Loop checking.

Candidate must possess a Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an internationally recognized University.

Profile

Candidate should have a minimum of 10 to 15 years overall E&l experience in Construction of offshore topside structures/moduleslliving quarters for oil and gas industries. Must have good verbal and written communication skills to interface and communicate with internal and external departments, agencies, contractors and vendors.

Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English

Attains and maintains behavioural and technical competencies.

Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
