Votre mission


The Direction for Human Resources and communication is made of 3 transversal functions being Compensation & Benefits,  Talent Management, Communication and 4 HR Regions of Business Units. The team consists of 22 strong and highly qualified HR collaborators who are leaded by the HR Committee composed of the HRD, the 4 HRM-BP’s and the corporate HR Managers.

This organization is designed to build One SPIE Standards Processes and in the same time to be close to the business & the operations. HR has to build bridges between people and to bring added value and expertise to support the business in his development and growth.


Main challenge

Besides the day to day management of the department, the main challenges can be summarized as follows:

·        Address market expectations and evolutions in smart building, smart cities and digitalization, by bringing and retaining talented people;

·        Support the growth organically and through acquisitions;

·        Coach and develop the team;

·        Structure optimally project processes on human effectiveness.



Take full ownership of the HR Direction in order to achieve strategic objectives of the division in particular and contribute to SPIE Belgium strategic objectives in general.


Major responsibilities

·        Be an active member of the Executive Committee of SPIE Belgium and report to the CEO.

·        Be an active member of the International HR Committee of SPIE Group and report functionally for this topics to the VP HR.

·        Develop and implement the Department Business Plan and assure the follow-up of roadmaps and action plans orders of each Team Member.

·        Overall responsible for industrial and unions relations.

·        Bring improvements and new innovative developments in order to maintain and develop SPIE HR added value and competitiveness of our employee and candidate experience.

·        Lead, develop and manage the HR TEAM Members and foster teamwork between HR and the different Divisions and at Group level, promoting synergies cross-collaboration and bests practices exchanges.

·        Develop and leverage his/her network and stakeholders in the company environment.

·        Assure compliance and follow-up with operational processes towards the divisions and other support functions in order to meet operational excellence.

·        Be proactive in gaining new trends and know-how in HR to offer up-to date services in a fast-evolving technological market and to maximize internal customer satisfaction.

Votre profil

·        University degree, ideally with an MBA or business management degree.

·        Around 10-15 years of HR management experience, ideally within a large company active in technical services, construction, industry sector or related.

·        Strong background in Soft and Hard HR processes and in HR project management & organization development.

·        Experienced with social relations

·        An experience of being an active member of an executive committee is an asset.

·        Fluent in French/Dutch with very good knowledge of English.

·        Strong interest in SPIE business.

·        A true and natural leader and people manager able to empower and develop people at all levels and to foster accountability and initiative taking; be an enabler and people motivator.

·        Balanced between strategic vision and hands-on operational management skills.

·        Decisive and adaptable, able to cope with fast and changing environments, balanced between structure/processes and action taking.

·        Strong business acumen: able to revise and upgrade business/project process management, contribute to strategic planning and assure business plan and financial reporting.

·        Team-Player, fostering cross-collaboration and looking at SPIE goals overall.

·        Strong HR skills, at ease to manage each HR Competency domain and well introduced in HR network, without being a wining & dining individual.

·        Excellent communication skills and ability to enthuse troops as well as leveraging an agile organization effectiveness.

·        Highest ethical standards and being transparent; no hidden agendas or grey zone are allowed.

·        Fit with SPIE values and culture that are around ownership & entrepreneurship, performance, proximity (both towards clients and team members) or in other words at ease to work in a highly professional and decentralized SME kind of company, supported by the strengths of a group.



Brussels (HQ Anderlecht) but flexible in mobility as 4 of the 6 businesses are spread in Flanders and regular visits of our different clients sites.
