Job description

SPIE Oil and Gas is currently looking for an Instrument Tubing Fitter to join its work force.

Mission: 

  • Ensure the performance of instrument tubing, transmitters and local instruments installation following Foreman instructions and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform instruments and tubing fitting activities in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Follow daily instructions given by Foreman.
  • Perform Instrument tubing, fittings, transmitters and local instruments installation, guaranteeing the quality of work performed.
  • Ensure the works are carried out according to project drawings.
  • Verify the equipment and materials are in good and safe operating conditions and report any anomalies to Foreman.
  • Perform leak test of the instrument tubing/pipe installed.
  • Ensure coordination with the adjacent works to minimize coactivities and avoid unsafe conditions.
  • Follow the permit-to-work statement.
  • Ensure the housekeeping of the work location.

Profile

Profile : 

  • Knowledge of all the main international construction (Ability to interpret them and to supervise their application.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical project documents such as isometrics, standards for supports, P&IDs, piping arrangements, plot plants, alignment sheet, project installation procedures.
  • Experience in laying instrument tubing.
  • Experience in connecting tubing with Parker or Swagelok connectors for example. A certificate would be a plus.
  • Experience  in connecting instruments.
    Instrumentation equipment installation and tests.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation equipment and test procedures. Safe and proper use of electrical instruments as multimeter and loop calibrators.
  • Ability to perform test on electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Electrical basics Knowledge of main electrical concepts and terms including but not limited to current, voltage, resistance, power, charge and efficiency.
  • Electrical hazard prevention Knowledge of electrical hazards and accident prevention including but not limited to Ppe and Lockout-tag out procedures.
  • HSE Work Practices Knowledge of the main risks during the activities and safe working and environmental protection procedures/practices & rules to be applied.
  • Knowledge of adequate Personal Protective Equipment - purpose, use and maintenance.
