SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Night Wells Supervisor to join its work force in Nigeria. Responsibilities include:
- Ensures all material required to perform the operation are mobilized on site as per plan.
- Records ALL events and relevant well parameters before, during and after operations. Generate and maintain accurate reports such as the daily Well view activity report; contractor performance reports, IQ-All operations data inputs
- Provide technical reports on specific well problems, investigation and report job failures and advise for operations improvement.
- Proactive in the management and coordination of the operations and service providers at the wellsite; using pre-job meetings, active monitoring, Toolbox Talks & Time Out for Safety, as appropriate, to ensure that all personnel are aware of the operational objectives and key areas of concern or risk.
- Responsible for preparing Well Handover Documents.
- Reports immediately all anomalies to his direct Supervisor
- Writes detailed work instructions as per approved well program, ensures completion equipment is prepared, is fit for purpose and meets well timelines.
- Ensures risk assessments are carried out prior to the completion operations.
- Raises management of change request when deviation from program is required.
- Proposes new ideas and innovations to improve well performance, well operations performance, reduce risk and/or cost.
HSE Responsibilities
- Demonstrates personal commitment to COMPANY HSE Policy
- Maintains awareness of and ensures compliance with all relevant Statutory and COMPANY HSE standards.
- Actively participates in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes and ensures the contractors under his/her responsibility are compliant
- Promote personnel safety, protection of the environment and COMPANY assets onsite
- Ensure all aspects of the completion & well cleanup/well testing & rig supported well intervention operations comply with COMPANY Referential, program and best practices.
- Responsible for avoiding major risks at well site
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Required
- Minimum of HND or BSc in Engineering domain with >1-year site working experience
- Team spirit and good interpersonal skills. Good English oral, written presentation and communication skill
- Basic experience in operations contracts management and well site drilling expenses basics
- In-depth knowledge of well completion, surface well test equipment, well intervention and general drilling and completion techniques
- Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills for process and technical issues
- Sound knowledge of the local regulations (and best practices) governing well operations
- Possess the following certifications:
- BOSIET /THUET certificate and annual medical examination certificate.
- Category A, Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS).
- Shall possess a valid OSP (Offshore Safety Permit)
- IWCF Level 4 Supervisor. Well Intervention Pressure Control or has a high likelihood of passing IWCF Level-4 in less than 1-month after resumption.
