Job description

  • Production/injection forecasting from DCA and simulation for both existing wells and infill wells / workover wells.
  • Carried out well and reservoir surveillance, data acquisition planning and problems/solution diagnosis.
  • Proposed initiatives for recovery improvement including water flood implementation and infill drilling for mature oil fields.
  • Implemented production optimization process in oil production field to find opportunities to boost up production, and proposed new workflows for other reservoir engineers in the team to associate with the new production optimization system.
  • Developed full-field integrated production model oil production wells to optimize production systems using Petroleum Experts’ GAP, PROSPER and MBAL.
  • Conducted project feasibility study for offshore marginal platform development
  • Implemented production data management system (PDMS) for an offshore gas field which helps improve production, create an automated workflow, consolidate and able to visualize real-time production data for production optimization.
  • Developed tools for production problems/solution diagnosis such as sand production prediction, locked-in potential prediction, well intervention planning, and gas and condensate potential forecast.
  • Issued well-testing program and PVT sample and data acquisition plan for exploration wells. Interpreted and analyzed test data.


  • Minimum 10 years of related reservoir engineer experience gained in operating oil and Gas Company.
  • Strong working experience in reservoir/petroleum engineering discipline: field and well operations, well/reservoir monitoring & optimization, field development planning, reservoir simulation.
  • Familiarity with reservoir and petroleum engineering software tools, such as Eclipse, Petrel, OFM, Saphir, MBAL/Prosper/GAP
  • Experience as a well team lead.
