We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a :
Senior Interface Engineer
1. Internal Interface Identification & Management
Lead internal interface activities under the guidance of the Interface Manager, coordinating across engineering disciplines, EPCC Contractor teams, and internal stakeholders.
Identify and define all internal interfaces and tie-ins during the concept and design phases, ensuring clarity in the EPCC Contract and alignment with project execution plans.
Raise principle decisions based on the Concept Study Report to initiate internal coordination and project alignment.
Launch internal projects based on approved concept studies and ensure scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
2. Coordination & Follow-Up
Conduct monthly coordination and follow-up meetings with the Projects Department to track progress of internal projects and tie-ins.
Follow up on principle decisions and internal projects to ensure timely delivery of internal interfaces.
Monitor execution of internal projects to ensure they are progressing as per approved timelines and within allocated budgets.
Flag delays or risks to the Project Director and work with stakeholders to design and implement mitigation actions.
3. Coordination
Ensure scope related to internal interfaces is clearly understood, properly planned, and implemented during engineering and construction phases.
Monitor adherence to mechanical completion requirements, interface milestones, and overall project schedule.
Review internal tie-in plans and coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, commissioning, maintenance) to ensure alignment and readiness.
4. Engineering Collaboration
Work closely with discipline engineers (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, etc.) to validate and document all internal interface points.
Ensure technical integrity and traceability of internal interfaces throughout design, construction, and commissioning phases.
5. Schedule & Risk Monitoring
Monitor all critical path activities related to internal interfaces and ensure alignment with commissioning-driven schedules.
Identify, report, and track risks associated with internal interface activities, and propose mitigation strategies in coordination with the Interface Manager and Project Controls.
Escalate delays and deviations to the Project Director and ensure recovery plans are agreed and implemented.
6. Quality, Standards & Compliance
Ensure all internal interface activities meet Project quality standards, technical specifications, and good engineering practices.
Verify that all process technologies, tie-ins, and operational aspects are implemented correctly and safely, ensuring readiness for commissioning and operation.

Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).
Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Planning and skills in planning integrated activities in offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- High School Diploma / Technical certificate in Discipline.
- Minimum 3 years recent experience in the petrochemical, refining, oil /gas exploration and/or production industries in a similar role.
