Job description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar for a:
Material Coordinator
Job Purpose:
This is an opportunity for you to be responsible and to provide

Your main duties will be to:-
- Understand and follow plant safety standards and procedures. Be familiar with typical petrochemical plant safety hazards.
- Material Knowledge of commodity, materials, valves, flanges, gaskets, piping, nuts, bolts, etc.
- Good knowledge of piping and related specifications, i.e. Schedule, rating, etc.
- Complete variety of forms (e.g., invoices, receiving/distribution, re-order) and maintain spreadsheet of all Direct Out/Project materials kept in warehouse to assist in controlling and maintaining supplies and related records.
- Participate in the receipt and unpacking of supplies, materials and equipment and checks items against receiving reports to ensure the accuracy of deliveries as per company requirements.
- Documents damaged items or shortages received for return or correction.
- Initiate and control Materials Discrepancy and non-conformance reports
- Communicate with End-users coordinate stores/warehouse activities with other departments.
- Assist in preparation of statistical reports on storekeeping activities for management.
- Bin all confirmed materials in allocated bin and warehouses location with proper preservation.
- Stock deliveries in appropriate storage areas and safely store materials and other stocks as per company standards.
- Review requests for supplies, materials and tools needed and answer inquiries regarding stock levels, orders and delivery schedules.
- Fill requests for supplies, materials and equipment by retrieving items from inventory and packaging for distribution
- Issue materials to end-user as necessary and as per procedure.
- Utilize manual and computerized systems to assist in recording and monitoring inventories.
- Maintain clean storage area for easy and safety access.
- Operates lifts, hand trucks and jacks to unload, transport and store supplies, as required.


Ideally you will have a High School Degree or Graduate of 3-year technical school or a Diploma in Materials Management (preferable)
Qatar Driving licence (Preferable)

You must have 5 years' work experience as a Material Coordinator in a petrochemical plant. Worked in Computerized Maintenance Management System. MS Office Applications. SAP Module (preferable).

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English.
