Role Purpose
The Head of IT Governance and Performance is accountable for defining, enabling, and continuously improving the governance, performance, financial transparency, and structural efficiency of the IT function. The role coordinates alignment between business strategy and IT execution, establishes clear decision-making frameworks, and guarantees regulatory compliance (GDPR, NIS2, AI Act, etc), cost control, and valued delivery across the Group.
Key Missions and Responsibilities
Service Strategy & Service Management
· Support and maintain the Group IT service strategy and service portfolio
· Ensure clarity of service ownership, service lifecycle, and service value
· Define and monitor service KPIs, SLAs, and continuous improvement plans
Architecture & Standards
· Define and govern enterprise architecture principles, standards, and reference frameworks
· Organize architecture governance bodies
· Ensure coherence, sustainability, and rationalization of the IT landscape
IT Governance
· Define and operate IT governance frameworks and decision-making processes
· Structure and guarantee efficiency of strategic, tactical, and operational governance committees
· Ensure alignment of IT priorities with business objectives
Portfolio & PMO
· Own the IT project and transformation portfolio at Group level
· Lead demand management, prioritization, and arbitration processes
· Ensure benefits realization and value tracking
Methods, Processes, Quality & Continuous Improvement
· Define and standardize IT methods, processes, and operating models in close coordination with the other IT operational departments
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maturity assessments
· Promote quality, efficiency, and industrialization of IT execution
IT Performance & Compliance
· Define and manage IT performance dashboards and KPIs
· Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
Green IT
· Measure IT function carbon footprint
· Define and manage improvement action plan in close coordination with the other IT operational departments
Vendor & Sourcing Management
· Define sourcing strategies and vendor governance models in close coordination with the Procurement department and other IT operational departments
· Monitor vendor performance, risks, and contractual compliance
· Manage strategic partnerships in coordination with Procurement and Legal departments
IT Finance (Run and Build)
· Own IT financial governance processes (budget, forecast, actuals)
· Ensure IT cost transparency and unit economics (services, projects)
· Drive cost optimization initiatives and CAPEX/OPEX balance
· Education:
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent
· Experience:
Minimum 12–15 years of experience in IT roles, including senior leadership positions
Proven experience in IT governance, portfolio management, performance management, and financial control
Experience in large, complex, and multi-entity organizations is required
