As a Planner & Scheduler, you will be at the heart of project execution, transforming strategy into action, and ensuring our teams deliver on time, every time.
You’ll coordinate across disciplines, anticipate challenges, and shape the rhythm of one of our most strategic projects in Africa.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Project Planning and Control

- Develop the Project Scheduling Plan (CFAT) in accordance with project execution strategies and contractual requirements.

- Establish the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and coding system to ensure consistent progress tracking and reporting.

- Define and maintain project milestones, critical paths, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

 

  • Roles and Responsibilities Definition

- Clearly define roles and responsibilities for all planning and scheduling activities across disciplines and contractors.

- Coordinate closely with project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure alignment of schedules and resources.

 

  • Scheduling Systems and Tools

- Recommend, implement, and maintain the appropriate scheduling systems and tools (e.g., Primavera P6) to meet project requirements.

- Collaborate with IT and other functional groups to ensure system integration and data accuracy.

 

  • Resource and Cost Planning

- Develop detailed resource-loaded schedules to optimize manpower, equipment, and material usage.

- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and propose recovery or mitigation plans.

- Assist in cost tracking, forecasting, and progress measurement to ensure project remains within budget and on schedule.

 

  • Reporting and Performance Monitoring

- Prepare and present regular progress reports 

- Track daily, weekly, and monthly work activities to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

- Coordinate with construction supervisors and site management to ensure data accuracy and timely updates.

 

  • Continuous Improvement and Coordination

- Provide expert advice to improve planning and scheduling processes and tools.

- Participate in project meetings, risk assessments, and lessons learned workshops.

- Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and safety requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with solid technical knowledge of offshore and onshore planning, scheduling, and construction execution.
  • Proven expertise in project control, resource planning and the development and maintenance of project schedules.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or other leading planning software tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination capabilities, able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards, HSE regulations, and best practices for fabrication, construction, and installation projects.

Minimum level of experience required

6 years or more

Required authorisations

Bosiet / Yellow Fever / Medical certificate fit to worl offshore

Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or other industry-standard planning tools.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
