Job description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Qatar for a :

Recovery & Sustainability Superintendent

Job Purpose
Ensure safe and efficient execution of Recovery & Sustainability (R&S) campaigns and shutdown activities. Coordinate planning, preparation, execution, and closeout activities to minimize downtime, maintain production reliability, and achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate R&S campaign and shutdown activities offshore.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE standards and an incident-free culture.
  • Support the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) in developing execution plans and setting work priorities.
  • Coordinate preparation of work packs, inspections, repairs, isolations, and spading activities.
  • Monitor campaign readiness and maintain action trackers with onshore teams.
  • Manage contractor resources to ensure safe and timely execution of work.
  • Review work progress, provide daily reports, and participate in coordination meetings.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, consumables, and spare parts are available before execution.
  • Coordinate service orders and contractor mobilization with onshore teams.
  • Compile campaign data, prepare closeout reports, and capture lessons learned.
  • Support risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance downtime. 

 

Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in Oil & Gas operations, shutdowns, campaigns, or maintenance activities.
Good knowledge of Mechanical & Piping Construction.
Familiarity with Shutdown/Campaign Management processes.
Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
Good working knowledge of SAP CMMS.
Strong planning, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience

  • Offshore Oil & Gas experience.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary maintenance teams.
  • Background in pressure vessel inspections, maintenance, and shutdown execution.
