Thanks to its internationally recognized expertise in the field of oil and gas productionunit operations, maintenance and also Renewable Energy market, SPIE GlobalServices Energy was selected to provide this activity on Block 3 PROJECT in Angola.


In order to participate to our growth of Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, we are
looking for Metering Specialist H/F

 

This position is located OFFSHORE on Block 3 in ROTATIONAL
 MODE 4x4.

Specific professional knowledge: CMIMS : SAP

Metering Specific:

Emerson S600+ Flow Computers, DeltaV PK controllers, and Elite Coriolis Flow Meters, Kelton Meter Manager.

Context and missions :

  • Rotation Status.
  • Position Offshore
  • He is responsible for maintenance operations within his field of competence.
  • He guarantees a good level of availability of the equipment on production SITE.
  • He plays a predominant role in the transfer of skills to personnel undergoing training and development by mentoring on SITE.

 

We are primarily looking for a candidate to carry out the following tasks:

  • Respect and apply QHSSE rules and procedures
  • In his discipline, he/she is in charge to :
    • Organize and perform on site the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility.
    • Assist the Preparation / planning team by giving any
      technical support for preparation of the jobs in his
      discipline.
    • Manage interventions and prepare the technical reports related to the field.
    • Is responsible of the specific tools of his team. (quantity and availability)
    • Take in charge the systems / equipment under his/her responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation status.
    • Identify recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyze them and suggest improvements.

 

Specific activities

  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate custody transfer metering systems, including flow computers, provers, and associated supervisory systems.

  • Ensure accurate flow computation (Gross Volume, Standard Volume, and Mass Flow) using Emerson S600+ Flow Computers and DeltaV supervisory systems.

  • Carry out batch proving, K-factor checks, and meter factor validations during cargo offtakes.

  • Manage calibration, verification, and troubleshooting of Emerson Elite Coriolis meters, turbine meters, magnetic flow meters, and ultrasonic flare gas meters.

  • Utilize proprietary calibration and validation software (Kelton Meter Manager, FLO CALC or equivalent).

  • Ensure compliance with ISO/API standards for fiscal and allocation metering.

  • Support audits, regulatory inspections, and reporting of measurement data.

We are primarily looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following skills:

The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronics, or related field
  • Experience with Custody Transfer & Fiscal Metering Systems including flow computation
  • OEM System Experience – Emerson & Related Platforms - Emerson S600+ FloBoss Flow Computers, and Elite Coriolis Flow Meters (Model CMFHC4).
  • Strong field experience with Field Instrument & Flow Meter Competence
  • Working Knowledge of International Standards & Calibration Software - Kelton Meter Manager / FLO CALC.

Metering Specific:  Emerson S600+ Flow Computers, DeltaV PK controllers, and Elite Coriolis Flow Meters, Kelton Meter Manager.

Candidate criteria

Minimum level of experience required

10 years or more

Required authorisations

  • Degree/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronics, or related field
