Job description

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a IST Logistics Officer to join its work force in Nigeria.

Suitable candidate will:

  • Ensure the availability of IST Shared Services stock by monitoring minimum levels for all in-use stock items. Escalating shortage of inventory items to the relevant hierarchies. Play key role in regular IST Shared Services equipment / asset validation exercises.
  • Responsible to review technical specification and evolution of the IST End-User assets, also for related configuration components, and advise hierarchy accordingly for requests / purchase purposes.
  • Also play the role of decentralized buyer (with requested specifications), the receipt from supplying vendors of the correct items
    based on specifications and other acceptable conditions for use within Company’s E&P Nigeria. Supervises storage of
    the items and equipment; ensuring proper storage environment requirements are always met.
  • Ensure proper documentation and regular updates of inventory records throughout its entire lifecycle.
  • Ensure IST assets repairs are adequately carried out, including implementation of all assets warrantee requirements by supplying vendors where necessary.
  • Play an oversite function on assets records on the CMDB are regularly updated, ensuring an accurate inventory is always maintained.
  • Handle proper disposal of IST assets (e-wastes and other related IST equipment) following COMPANY’S approved processes, in conjunction with HSE and relevant regulations.
  • Play a role in regular stock counting activities and provide regular reports with appropriate recommendations to handle any identified gaps or control issues that may arise.
  • Monitor levels of asset support service performance, ensure detailed metrics and records are kept, analysed, with escalation of appropriate recommendations for hierarchy review to implement.
  • Supervise the Deep Water Shared Services Loan Pool activities and Loan equipment management.
  • Actively participate to identify and recommend for implementation, Asset Management initiatives that will ensure proper monitoring and cost effectiveness. Participate to ensure consolidation & unification of IST Asset Management processes affiliate wide.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, generation, continuous improvement, and collation of inventory management and Asset Support related reports.
  • Ensure Company HSE and Security standards and rules are applied and always obeyed, and in all activities, as they relate to IST End-User Assets Support activities.

Profile

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Computer Science, Physical Science or Equivalent.
  • 3-5 Years’ experience in IT service management and asset management.
  • Good understanding of Computer Hardware and their evolution.
  • Must be firm and persuasive, have good communication and interpersonal skills, exhibit excellent analytical skills and high sense of integrity and organization, and be committed to the position.
  • Knowledge of 1ST operations is essential.
