GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
• The Electrical Referent is the technical and compliance authority for all electrical activities
within the scope of the contract.
• He/she is responsible for ensuring that all electrical works are executed in full compliance with:
• Client electrical procedures and requirements
• NorSPIE electrical safety rules and standards
• Applicable contractual, regulatory, and statutory obligations
• The Electrical Referent shall ensure that electrical safety, control of work, and isolation rules
are applied rigorously and without deviation.
HSEQ:
• Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture in line with Company HSE Requirements and
Rules.
• Ensures that TEPDK and NorSPIE HSEQ Policies and regulations are respected (especially
procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard
industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his/her
responsibility.
• Ensures compliance with Operating Procedures & Guidelines with the asset to ensure Process
Safety, Operational Safety and Plan Integrity.
• The Electrical Referent is responsible for ensuring that electrical training and authorization
systems are:
• Audit-ready at all times
• Compliant with client and company requirements
• Robust enough to withstand regulatory inspections and incident investigations
• He/she shall actively prevent any non-compliant practice that could expose NorSPIE to:
• Legal liability
• Contractual penalties
• Electrical safety incidents
Participates in the continuous improvement of NorSPIE Integrated Management System:
• Leads or participates in Root Cause Analyses (RCA) following HSE incidents or Quality
non-conformities and ensures effective implementation and follow-up of all corrective and
preventive actions.
• Maintains and updates all documents within his/her area of responsibility.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
• The Electrical Referent shall ensure that electrical competence is:
• Verified prior to authorization.
• Maintained throughout the assignment.
• Fully documented and traceable.
• Where personnel are authorized with restricted electrical scopes (e.g. isolation only, no
electrical work), such limitations shall be:
• Explicitly defined
• Formally recorded
• Clearly communicated
• The Electrical Referent shall ensure alignment between:
• Contractual Training matrix
• Authorization systems
• Actual tasks performed in the field
Strong understanding of electrical safety principles.
Proven ability to operate within regulated and safety-critical environments.
Demonstrated rigor, methodical approach, and sense of responsibility when managing electrical
activities.
Natural authority based on technical competence and trust
Ability to anticipate, analyze, and manage technical risks
Ability to work efficiently in a multinational and service-oriented environment

Computer literacy is required.
