We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar for a:

Mechanical Assistant Technician

Job Purpose:
This is an opportunity for you to be responsible and to provide support on the maintenance and operations of equipment.

Your main duties will be to:-
- Assist in carrying out maintenance and testing activities
- Assist in fault-finding and repair of plant, systems and equipment
- Assist in modifying, repairs or replaces plant, systems and equipment
- Assist in interpreting technical drawings
- Assist in preparing reports on work done
- Assist in checking equipment and operating systems and correct wherever necessary.
- Assist in ensuring mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
- Assist in resolving motor, pump, conveyor and hydraulic problems.
- Show expertise in working with team and independently.
- Comply with company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Comply with company and customer regulations and policies.
- Handle personal tools for job including up-to-date documented personal tool lists.


Ideally you will have a technical certificate or equivalent from a recognized and approved program.

You must have minimum 5 years work experience in an Oil and Gas industry.

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English.

C-Post-Secondary Non-Tertiary Education (A Level)

Minimum level of experience required

3 years or more


English (C-Professional working proficiency)
