We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Servies Energy Doha for a:
NDT Technician
- Examine materials, welds, and components for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete welds.
- Perform NDT inspections using Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Visual Testing (VT) techniques.
- Conduct inspections using eddy current, ultrasonic, and fluorescent dye penetrant methods in accordance with ASTM E-165 and other relevant standards.
- Carry out incoming, in-process, and final inspections on components to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed inspections on drill pipes, casing, and BHA components as per DS-1 Volume 4, API RP7G-2, and API RP 5A5 standards.
- Conduct inspections on various lifting and handling equipment, including chains, slings, shackles, elevators, and tongs.
- Use measurement tools such as micrometers, OD & ID gauges, and calipers with precision and accuracy.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain documentation in compliance with company standards and client specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to health and safety policies, especially within rig yard operations.
- Collaborate with inspection teams and management to prioritize tasks and ensure timely project completion.

Level II Certification in MT, PT, UT, and VT (as per ASNT or equivalent standards).
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in NDT inspections in oil & gas, power, or
related sectors.
Familiarity with ASTM, API, and DS-1 standards for inspection.
